According to a 2012 study by BRICdata, India’s interior products industry is expected to reach a value of US-Dollar 48.5 billion by 2016 (at an annual growth rate of 11.34 per cent). Also, the consumer class, which is estimated to grow twelve-fold from approximately 50 million (2013) to 585 million by 2025 , is drawing global attention; not just because of its sheer market volume but also because of the tectonic shift in the nature of demand. Aspiring towards a better lifestyle, Indian consumers have demonstrated an increased appetite for interior decoration products, a trend increasingly reflected in their homes.
