Paytm Commits to Bring Brightness to Blinds
Diwali profits to be shared with National Association for Blind
New Delhi, Delhi, India, Friday, November 01, 2013 — (Business Wire India) — To brighten up a few lives this Diwali, Paytm announced that it will donate all profits earned on transactions made on Diwali days – 2nd and 3rd November to the National Association for the Blind. The proceeds will go to the Association’s India Center and help support the education of blind girls, their vocational training and food.
Paytm had earlier run a campaign for the benefit of Uttarakhand flood victims, where it donated an amount of Rs. 20,10,862 to the Uttarakhand CM Relief Fund to help the government’s rebuilding efforts in the region.
