Panasonic Reinforces Commitment to Underprevailged Sections of the Society
Contributes 25 fully automatic washing machines to Govt. Institutions and Civil Society Organization

New Delhi, Delhi, India, Saturday, August 17, 2013 — (Business Wire India) — Reinforcing its commitment to work towards the upliftment of the underprivileged and weaker sections of the society, Panasonic today announced the contribution of 25 fully-automated washing machines to the underprivileged sections by collaborating with Govt. organizations and civil societies working specifically in the field of child development. Present at the occasion were Dr. Kiran Walia – Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Women & Child Development and Languages, Government of Delhi, and Ms. Radhika Kalia – Head, Corporate CSR & Public Relations, Panasonic India.

Under one of the most important pillars of its social responsibility program – “Panasonic Sahyog”, company contributed 15 washing machines to Village Cottage Home and Mentally Challenged home run by Women and Child Welfare Department, Govt. Of Delhi and other 10 washing machines to GOONJ (an NGO for women empowerment). “Panasonic Sahyog” program has been essentially designed to contribute to the Indian society and to work towards the upliftment of weaker sections of our society.
