Management, Innovation, Design, Arts, Social Sciences
Midas is where one can envision ideas come to life as the institute provides the most essential ingredient of mentorship to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Prof Parag Shah, Chief Mentor at Midas loves to teach and what better subject than the goldmine of entrepreneurial knowledge he has gathered throughout his career. According to Prof Shah, “A good idea has to be nurtured to bear fruit. I have been an Entrepreneur all my life. But teaching has been my abiding passion. Having taught and mentored a number of budding Entrepreneurs, I have developed a unique program that is based on the Blooms Taxonomy.” In the Blooms Taxonomy most educational programs focus on the bottom of the pyramid, which is rote learning and solving word problems. It does not focus on synthesizing disparate data, using critical thinking skills and above all using the knowledge for solving problems creatively. This program precisely aims to accomplish this.
The Leadership profiling and training in Leadership will help entrepreneurs to be more sensitive human beings. Prof Shah adds, “At the end of this program, we hope to hand over the tools to the participant to understand oneself, to think critically and become a creative problem solver.”
Midas gives direction to the thoughts of big ideas by managing it, communicating the idea and molding candidates to think like an entrepreneur while further nurturing to have skill sets in public speaking, critical thinking, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Midas will further incubate the participants by providing office space for 6 months, office admin staff and legal support. The course is restricted to 30 selected participants.
At the end of the program, participants will present their ideas to an eminent panel of Jury Dr. Vijal Kelkar, Ex advisor to Finance Minister; Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Ex Chairman Atomic Energy commission of India and Mr. Akhil Gupta, Sr. Managing Director, Blackstone India, a leading private equity firm. Last date to apply for the program is on 15th August 2013.
Nestled in Pune, the course offers great depth with well formulated activities and assigned mentors enabling the participant to understand any business strategy. Established on the Bloom’s Taxonomy, the program is focused on imparting critical and analytical thinking in the applicant’s mind.
