Leaders from U.S. Southeast Business Hub of Atlanta, Georgia Visit to Strengthen Ties with India

Atlanta, Georgia, United States, Monday, July 29, 2013 — (Business Wire India) — Business leaders from the U.S. business hub of Atlanta, Georgia have returned to India to strengthen relationships with strategic partners and to highlight ripe U.S. business opportunities in key market sectors, including life sciences, agribusiness and financial technology.

Among their objectives, the business executives also are taking next steps on an agreement with between the state of Georgia and the state of Karnataka. The business agreement seeks to foster cooperation between the U.S. state of Georgia and Karnataka on biotechnology efforts.

“The Indian market has been, and is, a focus for Georgia. We have seen in the last few years an expanded presence and success of Indian companies in Atlanta. The visit is part of a five-city tour that includes Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Delhi.

The executives also are promoting the fourth annual USA India Business Summit, to be held in Atlanta. The summit promotes business relations between USA and India. Her Excellency Ms. Nirupama Rao, Ambassador of India to the United States and Honorable Nathan Deal, Governor of the State of Georgia will be among the featured speakers:
