Participating in a panel discussion on “Derisking Human Capital” at NASSCOM HR SUMMIT 2013, the HR industry’s largest annual conference in India, Navin Chugh, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, of First Advantage India chaired a panel discussion focused on Reducing Human Capital Risk in India. The discussion was co-chaired with Dayanand Allapur – Vice President& Head of Human Resources at Capgemini Business Services BPO and Raghavendra K – Vice President and Head of Human Resources, Infosys BPO. The panel discussed the current labour scenario with a varied demand supply ratio: For every job opening, there are an increased number of aspirants and the skill sets required are very specific. These factors have led to increasing challenges in recruitment from something small and very common such as the misrepresentation of data to perhaps more drastic instances involving people taking money under the false pretext of ensuring jobs for the aspirants and more. . Overall, the discussion centred on establishing and implementing the best practices within the recruitment ecosystem, mitigating the growing recruitment risk, and solutions to minimize or eliminate such activities.
