dGB Earth Sciences Appoints New Mumbai-Based Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific
Jan Stellingwerff Beintema Takes on Key Asian Position and Will be Based in Mumbai, India. dGB Also Announces New CEO

Enschede, Netherlands and Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, November 14, 2011 — (Business Wire India) — dGB Earth Sciences, the leading provider of open source seismic interpretation software to the oil & gas industry, today announced that Jan Stellingwerff Beintema, previously Marketing Director at dGB, is to take on the role of Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific.

In addition, dGB has also announced that Kristofer Tingdahl is to become the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kristofer will take on the CEO role from dGB founder, Paul de Groot, who will remain as President of the company and focus on business development

Jan Stellingwerff Beintema will be tasked with building on recent growth in Asia for dGB’s seismic interpretation solutions and its flagship product, OpendTect, and strengthening key relationships with local operators. Existing dGB customers in India, for example, include ONGC, Reliance and Cairn India. Jan will replace Nanne Hemstra who was previously Executive Vice President India and has now become Executive Vice President, Americas based in Houston.

Jan joined dGB as Marketing Director in 2006, with over 20 years of experience in various aspects of geology, geophysics and reservoir evaluation. Prior to joining dGB, he worked for Western Geco and Halliburton in the acquisition of geophysical borehole data and then, for 12 years, for CGG in France initially in interpretation and later in technical support and sales. Jan holds an Msc in geology from Polytech’ Montpellier.
